Business Function
Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial and investment banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans, foreign exchange and advisory services such as mergers & acquisitions and equity and debt capital markets. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region that are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform client relationship management / marketing / origination / activities for regulated new economy client segment (Fintech), including money services businesses, as well as traditional non-bank finance companies (non-bank lenders, leasing companies, credit card companies, etc).
- To originate and on board new-to-bank clients in the respective client segment.
- To act as first line of defence to all risk aspects to this segment of customers, in particular AML/ATF/CPF risk for the money service business segment.
- To manage and maintain Know You Customer and respective Customer Due Diligence, as well as ongoing compliance management.
- To own and manage relevant P/L relating to the segment of clients
- Foster strong working relationship and collaboration between internal stakeholders, in particular working with GTS colleagues for cash management opportunities and credit analysts for lending opportunities.
- Promote a full suite of banking products, including cash management (payments, deposits, virtual accounts, APIs), bilateral loans/syndications, and structured lending (securitization).
- Identify and acquire new clients, expanding the bank's NBFS portfolio.
- Perform other tasks as required by the Team Head and department.
Requirements:
- Recognised Degree qualification with at least 6 to 8 years' of relevant experience
- Prior experience or proven track record in Banks or Non-Bank Financial Services coverage
- Relevant experience in managing clients regulated under MAS's Payment Services Act and strong understanding of cash management and payments products will be an advantage.
- Strong risk and control mindset coupled with growth mindset to seek continuous improvements in personal and business development
- Strong understanding of KYC / Operational process flow on payments/ remittance and new economy industry
- Sales-driven mentality with a strong business development and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to manage the diversity of the team members and to coach them for improved performance
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong, resourceful individual contributor with initiative, and collaborative to partner effectively with product, sector, country and credit teams.
