Position Overview

The Pre-Post Sales Engineer – Fire Protection Systems is responsible for providing technical and commercial support to the sales organization during the pre-sales phase. This role ensures that proposed fire protection solutions are technically sound, compliant with applicable standards, and aligned with customer needs and project specifications. The position combines technical expertise, communication skills, and business acumen to contribute to the successful acquisition of new projects and clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to analyse customer requirements and define appropriate fire protection solutions, including fire detection, suppression, and alarm systems.
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals, cost estimates, and system layouts in response to tenders and customer inquiries.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of technical documentation, compliance statements, and solution specifications in accordance with international and local standards (e.g., EN, NFPA, UNI).
  • Work closely with Engineering, R&D, and Project Management teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with company capabilities.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support throughout the bid process, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness of offers.
  • Gather and communicate market and customer feedback to support continuous improvement of products, solutions, and technical materials.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and customer training sessions to enhance brand visibility and technical credibility.
  • Provide post sales technical support to clients in phase of testing and commissioning
  • Provide post sales technical support to client for troubleshooting.
  • Keep constant communication with Technical Support Coordinatore in Comelit SEA and with Headquarter technical support in order to keep trace of failures and malfunctioning situation.
  • Coordinate with Tech Supp Coordinator for on-site technical service and onsite schedule, when requested.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Professional Education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Protection Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
  • 3–5 years of experience in pre-sales, technical sales, or engineering roles within the fire protection, safety, or building systems industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant international standards (NFPA, EN, UNI) and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and/or fire system design tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
