**Responsibilities**:
- Possess solid technical knowledge of RHEL/Oracle Linux and Unix hardware, operating systems, and system services.
- Independently plan and lead OS upgrade/migration activities.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and performance tuning of Linux/UNIX systems.
- Scripting expertise in Bash, Python, and Perl for automation and task efficiency.
- Optional: Certification in LINUX (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience in building and installing Linux physical servers.
**Added Advantage**:
- Hands-on experience in managing large Hadoop clusters with Cloudera CDH and CDP.
- Expertise in planning and executing major and minor upgrades of Cloudera CDH and CDP.
- Administration of various services within CDP, including node management and hardware replacements.
- Understanding of external tools integration with Hadoop (Qlik, PowerBI, SAS, and Informatica).
- Experience in LDAP, SSHD, and KRB authentications.
- Backup and restoration of various service components within the Hadoop cluster.
- Optional: Certification in Cloudera CDH/CDP.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in Linux/Unix system administration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead OS upgrade/migration projects.
**Job Type**: Contract
