Outram, Singapore Common Abode Full time $20,000 - $30,000 per year

We are looking for an ambitious Commis to work at our Burmese restaurant in Singapore. Successful candidates will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package and professional training in a dynamic and growing company.

As a Commis, your main responsibility is supporting the kitchen team in delivering consistently high-quality food. Your work will be extremely important for customer satisfaction and building customer loyalty.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing inventory levels and letting the Chef de Parries know when they need or order more ingredients or supplies
  • Collaborating with the rest of the culinary team to ensure high-quality food and service.
  • Prepare food orders according to standard recipes and procedures
  • Daily feedback collection and reporting of issues as they arise
  • Able to estimate the daily production needs and checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
  • Consults daily with Sous Chef and Chef de Parties on the daily requirements, functions and about any last-minute events
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Maintain smooth and efficient operations in the kitchen
  • Assisting in other areas of the kitchen when required.
  • Ensure overall cleanliness of kitchen and personal hygiene

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in a similar position preferred.
  • A culinary diploma from a recognized institution, HACCP certified (preferred not required)
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Punctual, organised, and trustworthy
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices for safety and sanitation.
  • Passion for delivering great food and service.
  • Multitasking and organisational ability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $2, $3,000.00 per month
