About the role

Maintech Engineering & Supplies Pte Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Safety Manager to join our team in the West Region. As a Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our employees and stakeholders across our construction projects. This is a full-time position that will see you working on-site to oversee and implement robust safety protocols and procedures.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring comprehensive safety policies, procedures and training programs to maintain a safe work environment
  • Conducting regular safety inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to project teams on all aspects of health and safety compliance
  • Collaborating with site managers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all safety-related activities and incidents
  • Promoting a strong safety culture and advocating for the importance of health and safety at all levels of the organisation

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Safety Manager or similar role within the construction industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, regulations and industry best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
  • Proficient in the use of safety management software and data analysis tools
