Role Summary

Electrical Engineering Lead plays a critical role for the design and construction of both our greenfield and brownfield data centers in APAC region.  His/her responsibilities include designing new data centers, remodeling, and deploying the existing ones, with expertise in electrical engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop new greenfield and brownfield data centers.
  • Assist in datacenter remodeling work and deploying additional services into existing data halls.
  • Lead and work as a part of a team to create concept design schemes.
  • Produce prospectus for potential designs.
  • Manage the lead design consultant to produce and ensure the completeness of relevant designs and documentations.
  • Follow relevant procedures and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Create relevant procedures when necessary.
  • Keep documentation up to date.
  • Resolve design and site issues.
  • Cross-check other discipline designs including electrical design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering consultancy and/or electrical infrastructure construction.
  • Chartered or is a Licensed Professional Engineer is an advantage.

  • Solid experience in:

  • Greenfield design

  • Live data center modification
  • Maintenance Operation
  • Testing and Commissioning
  • MEP work phasing and logistics.
  • Be knowledgeable in electrical, telecommunication, structural, architectural, quantity survey, cost estimation, project management, construction management and facilities management.
  • Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of Medium/Low voltage /High Voltage electrical distribution systems, AC/DC systems, and associated power management/SCADA tools.
  • Prior knowledge on power system condition monitoring.
  • Self-motivated. Adaptable. Good communication skills.
  • Experienced in leading multi-discipline teams to deliver projects
  • Be disciplined manager assigning and reviewing tasks
  • Presentable and confident in client facing
  • Able to travel occasionally (around 20% of time)
  • Experiences working in different countries / global exposure is an advantage.
