Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial governance, compliance, and reporting for our SGX Catalist-listed company. This role requires a deep understanding of SGX Catalist listing rules, sponsor engagement, and public company financial reporting. The successful candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen internal controls, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and decision-making at the senior management level.

1. SGX Catalist Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure strict compliance with SGX Catalist regulations, IFRS/SFRS standards, and corporate governance practices.
  • Manage accurate and timely preparation of quarterly and annual reports, regulatory filings, and investor communications.
  • Coordinate with SGX sponsors, auditors, legal advisors, and authorities on all reporting and disclosure matters.
  • Oversee corporate tax planning, GST submissions, and other statutory filings.

2.Internal Controls & Governance

  • Develop and maintain sound internal controls, financial policies, and risk management practices.
  • Supervise both internal and external audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform compliance reviews and risk evaluations to minimize business and financial risks.
  • Approve financial commitments, vendor contracts, and other key financial agreements.

3. Treasury & Cash Flow

  • Handle cash flow management, forecasting, and liquidity planning.
  • Maximize working capital efficiency and manage financial risks.
  • Manage banking relationships, debt arrangements, and financing activities.

4.Business Performance & Cost Management

  • Establish performance indicators and financial metrics to track profitability.
  • Drive budgetary control, cost-saving initiatives, and adherence to financial plans.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare planned budgets against actual results.

5.Financial Systems & Process Improvement

  • Lead ERP and financial system upgrades to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Streamline finance processes and implement automation for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support digital initiatives to improve financial operations.

6.Strategic Advisory

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board for decision-making.
  • Contribute to mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and business expansion plans.

Job Requirements
  • Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of senior finance experience, preferably with SGX-listed companies.
  • Solid knowledge of Catalist compliance, financial reporting, and corporate governance.
  • Strong experience dealing with auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
  • Skilled in ERP and financial tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI).
  • Exposure to treasury, M&A, and corporate restructuring is an advantage.
