Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Electrical, Instrumentation, and DCS engineering projects from basic and detailed design through to installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Design and specify E&I equipment and control systems; review contractor and vendor specifications, drawings, and documentation in collaboration with the project team.
- Develop and implement project execution plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management strategies.
- Serve as an on-site engineering liaison between contractors and internal project teams, maintaining oversight of construction activities, site safety, and permit-to-work processes.
- Address and resolve technical issues that arise during construction, ensuring all major concerns are formally resolved through coordination with contractors and internal teams.
- Report project progress to the Project Manager and coordinate with other discipline engineers to ensure effective cross-functional integration.
- Ensure all engineering activities align with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Review and recommend solutions for variation orders and change requests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues during execution and commissioning phases.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Engage and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and support across all phases of the project.
- Conduct vendor workshops (FAT) and site inspections to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including status reports, technical write-ups, and budget tracking.
- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a project engineering role.
- Proven experience managing full project lifecycles—from detailed engineering and construction to commissioning, start-up, and final handover.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems, including DCS (Yokogawa) and PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
- Strong understanding of E&I engineering principles and practices, as well as applicable local (Singapore Standards) and international codes and regulations (e.g., NEC).
- Open to long-term overseas assignments based on project needs.
