The IT Project Manager/ IT Delivery Lead will execute technical and business projects across multiple stakeholders, developing analysis to support process and project improvements. This role involves managing and coordinating business and technical projects through all phases of initiation, development, and implementation via Agile methodologies. The IT Project Manager/ IT Delivery Lead will work with stakeholders to define and manage the scope, budget, strategy, requirements, and implementation of projects, ensuring they are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting business objectives. Key competencies include technical experience in real-time complex applications, prior insurance project management or delivery experience, proficiency in Agile methodologies, and strong leadership skills.
Position Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery & Governance: Oversee end-to-end delivery of IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring completion within agreed scope, schedule, and budget. Apply structured delivery frameworks and Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts) to monitor progress and outcomes.
- Team Coordination & Resource Management: Lead and allocate cross-functional, distributed teams across geographies and time zones. Prepare teams for project kick-off and ensure optimal resource utilization throughout the lifecycle.
- Progress Monitoring & Risk Mitigation: Track project activities, milestones, and budgets. Develop and report delivery metrics, proactively identify issues, and implement resolution strategies to mitigate risks and ensure successful outcomes.
- Agile Execution & Continuous Delivery: Champion Agile methodologies including sprint planning, backlog management, and continuous integration/delivery. Facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams to improve Agile maturity.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with business, operations, transformation team and technology stakeholders to define scope, budget, goals, and deliverables. Provide consistent, transparent updates on project status, challenges, and resolution strategies.
- Regional & Local Market Alignment: Liaise with regional teams to tailor solutions for local market needs while maintaining alignment with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.
- Culture & Team Development: Foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment. Provide coaching and feedback, encourage innovation, and drive continuous improvement aligned with technology strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a proven track record in managing large-scale, complex projects in program delivery roles.
- Prior experience in insurance project delivery, with solid business acumen in insurance and finance domains.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Angular, DevOps, microservices, and cloud-native solutions. Ability to guide solution design and implementation aligned with technical standards.
- Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and tools, including their application in enhancing delivery efficiency, automation, and customer experience. Ability to evaluate and integrate GenAI solutions into existing technology stacks and processes.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and continuous integration/delivery. Experience managing delivery across onshore/offshore models for global clients.
- Skilled in project planning, project financials control, milestone tracking, and delivery metrics. Capable of identifying risks, building contingency plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across business, operations, and technology. Proven ability to manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus in complex environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, foster a high-performing culture, and drive alignment with business goals. Encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and other project tracking tools. Demonstrates creative problem-solving and professionalism under pressure.
