Senior Regional Pricing Manager APAC

The Senior Regional Pricing Manager APAC supports building local capabilities in APAC markets to successfully execute globally defined commercial policies, terms and platforms with the objective to improve Pricing compliance and Price Realization.
This role leads Pricing policy and governance to support transformative pricing strategies tied to brand strategy defined by Marketing that maintain industry competitiveness and drive long term profitable growth. With the objective to improve Net Price realization the role guides commercial stakeholders in how to bring Pricing Strategy into relevant action by providing price governance processes (e.g. exception handling), price communication support (e.g. objection handling) and tools (e.g. CPQ) in line with standard KPIs and metrics.
The Senior Regional Pricing Manager APAC is a key role supporting APAC and market stakeholders in driving the organization's maturity in Pricing Management & Execution. Aligned to Global Pricing and Policy Frameworks this role partners with local APAC stakeholders to help translate the global Price Governance vision into practice.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experienced in dealing with different theories of Pricing Strategy and their execution
 - Strong management, organizational and follow-through skill set
 - Strategic thinker with a strong orientation to detail and execution
 - Passionate in guiding commercial teams in Pricing Strategy Execution and implementation planning
 - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to build alignment without direct authority
 - Ability to work independently in a diverse and challenging environment, successfully handling multiple priorities and delivery against tight deadlines
 - Strong business acumen skills and skills appropriate for management level communication (oral & written)
 - Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines both working autonomously and within a team
 - Thorough understanding of Sales, Sales Operations, and all Marketing programs/promotions in relation to Pricing
 - Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently at all levels of the organization, create interdepartmental links based on different projects with a respective level of integrity
 - Be a team player with the ability to be both part of, create and lead teams
 - Excellent MS Office skills, namely Excel & PowerPoint
 
Work Environment:
- Office based (some remote working)
 - Prolonged sitting in front of a computer
 - Occasional conference calls with various groups in different time zones

Experience:
- 10+ years in Pricing Management, Sales Excellence, Commercial Operations, Commercial Finance, or similar capacity
 - Highly credible and able to influence at all seniority levels. Comfortable challenging the status quo.
 - Demonstrated ability to lead change across multiple sites and matrix groups
 - Pricing and Change Management experience skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, finance, or equivalent, required
 - Advanced degree or certification in pricing related discipline, highly desirable
 MBA preferred
Partner with Global, Regional and local Marketing and Commercial Operation Functions to execute pricing strategy.
- Govern globally set strategy and direction for management of Pricing and Promotion policy frameworks in APAC.
 - Responsible for developing the APAC Pricing Governance Roadmap by working in collaboration with APAC functions of Marketing, Sales and Finance and in close partnership with local Commercial Operations teams to drive effective execution.
 - Lead APAC Price Exception Framework design. Co-develop (Global, Regional and Market teams) a pricing framework in-line with the Marketing brand price architecture, evolving over time in sophistication that supports price and margin target realization (e.g. Guardrail based price exception process) for CooperVision and for our customers.
 - Lead the deployment of global Pricing methodologies and applications that support price monitoring.
 - Responsible for developing Price increase related training material (e.g. objection handling, role play material, trade communication best practices)
 - Partner with APAC markets on improving Gross to Net Revenue Management by supporting local implementation of global vision and definitions. Develop and lead agile and scalable methodology to support assessments of Gross to Net Revenue effectiveness (e.g. Customer Investment Programs governance) with the objective to understand Return of Investment from e.g. rebates and promotions.
 - Lead market counterparts in translating Pricing Strategy into practice in close partnership with Sales. Provide guidance and share best practices on Strategic Pricing Governance between commercial teams in the Region.
 - Support APAC GMs, Sales Leaders and their teams in all areas of Pricing execution, communication, and training as appropriate. Work in close collaboration with local Commercial Operations in improving Pricing efficiency and effectiveness tied to Channel Strategy.
 - Establish governance processes and criteria to drive continuous improvement across APAC (e.g. price increase target realization)
 - Develops actionable insights to region and market on improving price performance and interprets market research data when it comes to the impact of Pricing on market share and competitive dynamics and makes suggestions to translate insights into governance.
