WeConnect Search is in partnership with an established private real estate owner seeking a Head of Construction and Engineering posted on the beautiful island of Bali, Indonesia reporting to the Executive Director.

The successful candidate is responsible for the full cycle of Engineering and Construction related activities on infrastructure and building projects, including the onsite process, construction, and monitoring work on building projects within time and budget to the standard expected.

The Head of Construction and Engineering will be involved at an early stage in the development of the project with the majority of the role concentrating on the delivery aspect of the defined works.

Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Team management and development
  • Lead the project/s and ensure completion within the set budget, schedule, and conformance with design documents.
  • Develop logistics plan, project bidding strategy with the project team and purchasing department.
  • Assess and provide schedule information for bid documents and contract negotiations.
  • Organize regular meetings with the contractors and design team to review the drawing preparation, approval, types of equipment or materials l
  • Assess manpower projections vis-a-vis the project schedule, quality, and performance issues on and off-site.
  • Monitor contractor or vendor pending costs.
  • Management communication and overall project reporting.
  • Final project report, and prompt closeout of the subcontracts.
  • Initiate and implement best practices, procedures, and standards in compliance with Company's laws

This role best suits a profile that is keen and able to be posted in Bali, Indonesia on a single-posting status. Experienced in delivering a large-scale to complex real estate development from a hotel, resort to residences from inception, construction, completion, hand-over to the post-delivery stage.

Job's essential requirements set by our client:

  • Relevant academic qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Project or Construction Management
  • At least 15 years similar work experience as a Senior Project Manager or Head of Projects, Engineering or Construction
  • Similar and extensive experience in Real Estate/Property - hospitality/commercial construction experience on newly built projects to major fit-out, A & A projects
  • Extensive knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards, and other project-related activities
  • Vendor management experience
  • Extensive similar work experience in South East Asian countries
  • Proven leadership experience in managing, leading teams, and working with external vendors/contractors
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the budget and bidding process.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience in project delivery within the budget and time set.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively.
