ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: UBI, SINGAPORE
Role: SCDF CALL OPERATOR
Shift Pattern: 2 days work, 2 days off (12-hour shifts)
Day 1: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Day 2: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Day 3 & 4: Off
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer and manage emergency calls with professionalism and composure.
- Assess emergency situations and gather critical details for dispatch teams.
- Provide life-saving guidance to distressed callers over the phone.
- Perform telephone triaging to ensure the right resources are sent quickly.
- Maintain accurate records and document each call efficiently.
- Monitor ongoing incidents and relay updates to response teams.
- Stay up-to-date with emergency protocols through regular training.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience: At least 1 year in a call centre environment or medically related field.
- Education: Minimum 3 GCE O Levels (including English)
- Languages: Fluent in English and a Mother Tongue language (spoken & written).
Skills & Attributes:
Strong ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Empathetic and compassionate, able to reassure distressed callers.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable with computer systems and typing

- SCDF Security Screening
- SCDF Panel Interview
- SCDF Psychometric Assessment
Training will be provided during which training allowance will be paid. Full attendance will be required. The training is estimated to take place from 3-21 November 2025.
