The successful candidate reports to the Assistant Director, Campus Development - Estates and is responsible for planning, implementing and managing the development and management of building services for the education campuses, buildings and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for electrical, extra low voltage, security and vertical transportation system including fit outs, infrastructure, addition and alteration works which encompass conducting feasibility studies, budgeting, project programming, design review and quality assurance
- Manage the master space plan and space audit
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and consultants on design specifications, space programme, cost and work schedule
- Develop project briefs/schedules, manage, review and implement workplace changes, monitor quality, cost and deadlines
- Manage tender calling, evaluation and award of contracts
- Ensure compliance with regulations on all building, fire, safety and health matters
- Monitor and report on the progress of construction works
- Carries out regular quality checks on contraction works during the construction period and works with internal and external stakeholders on the building defect lists prior to handover of buildings
- Manage execution of direct contracts
- Coordinate with stakeholders on the schedule to move into buildings
- Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as required by Management in the course of work
Job Requirements
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in building project management
- Good knowledge of building development, maintenance regulations, laws and procedures
- Strong in organisational, administrative, interpersonal and communication skills
- Technically competent in Microsoft Project and Computer Aided Design software programmes
