About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Technician to join our team at the Summer View Hotel in the Central Region. As a Building Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel's infrastructure and facilities. This is a full-time position based on-site at our hotel in Bencoolen.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on the hotel's electrical, plumbing, air con and other building systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any malfunctions or breakdowns in the hotel's equipment and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialised maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Ensure the hotel's facilities are clean, well-maintained, and compliant with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in implementing contingency plans as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and repair work conducted.
  • Collaborate with the hotel's operations team to identify and implement energy-saving initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • Prefer 2 years relevant experience as a Building Technician or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing, air con and general building maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with the hotel's staff and guests
  • Flexibility to work during weekends or holidays as needed
