Job Description
  • Industry/ Organization Type: Maritime Shipping Agency and Supply Services Provider
  • Position Title: Technical Purchaser / Buyer
  • Working Location: West - Tuas (Nearest MRT: Tuas West)
  • Working Hours: 5.25 days (Mon to Fri: 8.30am-5pm, Alternate Sat: 8.30am-12.30pm)
  • Salary Package: Up to SGD AWS + Performance Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
  • Tasked with overseeing daily procurement operations, which include:
  • Sourcing products and comparing costs, Preparing and submitting quotations, Negotiating prices and placing orders, Coordinating and tracking deliveries
  • Collaborating closely with the operations and sales departments to ensure order fulfilment
  • Keeping precise and current records of purchases and pricing
  • Developing and sustaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Evaluating suppliers, supplies, and pricing options thoroughly
  • Managing invoice processes, including the assessment and settlement of invoices, ensuring alignment with purchase and delivery orders
  • Resolving any disputes with customers or suppliers
  • Regularly assessing and managing approved vendor lists
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO standards and internal policies in daily activities
  • Performing other ad-hoc tasks as needed
