The Opportunity

Our client is a global top-tier, privately owned energy and commodities trading house that manages the flow of vital resources across 5 continents. With annual profits consistently exceeding $2 billion, they leverage a sophisticated, data-driven approach to navigate complex markets—including crude oil, refined products, natural gas, power, and metals—connecting producers with end-users worldwide. Complementing their core trading activities, the company is also a recognized leader in financing the global energy transition, investing significantly in renewable energy, biofuels, and decarbonization technologies. They are currently seeking a Trade Support (Financial Operations) in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and ensure the accurate entry of all trade details into ETRM.
  • Stay updated on most current reporting requirements by local regulatory bodies for OTC derivatives and ensure compliant reports are submitted to authorities (e.g. MAS, ASIC) within designated deadlines.
  • Issue Resolution and Testing: Investigate and resolve data or reporting discrepancies by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and participate in UAT when required.
  • Continuously assess and recommend enhancements to increase the efficiency and reliability of MAS reporting and validation workflows.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Min. 3 years of relevant experience in similar role, preferably in Power & Gas, Env Products and Oil Derivatives
  • MAS reporting knowledge/experience is highly preferred
  • Proficient with Excel Macro and VBA. Any other computer language would be advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
