The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) aims to transform the delivery of Government digital services by taking an "outside-in" view, putting citizens and businesses at the heart of everything we do. We also develop the Smart Nation infrastructure and applications, and facilitate collaboration with citizens and businesses to co-develop technologies.

GoBusiness is a digital platform that transforms how businesses interact with the government—making processes like licence applications simpler, faster, and more intuitive. Jointly developed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and GovTech, GoBusiness streamlines regulatory requirements so businesses can focus on growing their operations. As a one-stop solution, it provides access to regulatory information and licence applications across more than 30 government agencies—and counting.

What you will be working on

As a Full Stack Software Engineer software engineer, you will:

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure systems
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, and QA engineers
  • Write clean, maintainable production code across the stack
  • Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews
  • (For senior hires) Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members

  • [Good to have] Experience in Kotlin Spring Boot and React Typescript tech stack
  • Experience in Kotlin (Spring Boot) and React (TypeScript) is preferred, but we welcome candidates with strong fundamentals in other full-stack environments
  • Familiarity with software architectural design and system resilience
  • Experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI)
  • [Bonus] Experience with SHIP-HATS, APEX, or Cloud File Transfer (CFT)
