Assistant Purchasing Officer

About the Roles
We are looking for an Assistant Purchasing Officer to join a leading manufacturer specializing in electrical power distribution, control, and automation systems. This role is based in Tuas Crescent, with company transport provided for convenience. It is a contract position (4–6 months), offering a basic salary of up to SGD 3,500. The work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 8.15am–5.45pm, providing a steady weekday routine within a professional and supportive environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage local and overseas purchasing activities for assigned product categories and process purchase orders.
- Monitor shipment schedules, update delivery status, and ensure timely arrival of materials for production.
- Support the Manager and Officer with general administrative and documentation tasks.
- Prepare monthly purchasing reports and maintain the approved vendor and supplier database.
- Assist with sourcing, negotiating terms, following up on orders, and expediting deliveries when required.
- Organize and file procurement records systematically.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the purchasing office.
- Follow Quality Management System (QMS) procedures in all purchasing activities.
- Undertake any other tasks or projects assigned by supervisors.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum O-Level qualification.
- At least 1 year of purchasing experience, preferably handling electrical components and spares within a manufacturing or electrical services company.
