Central Region, Singapore Singapore Management University Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

The successful candidate will be working with a dynamic, progressive, and close-knit research group to develop the next-generation AI for financial and investment applications. We aspire towards world-class research, high-quality publications, and real-world impact.

  • Conducting research on data mining and machine learning for finance and investment
  • Designing, building and maintaining research systems and data infrastructure
  • Publishing research results in reputable venues
  • Pursuing collaborations with potential industry partners to create real-world impact
  • Project management and administration
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • PhD degree from a reputable university in Computer Science or another relevant discipline
  • Strong research capability as evidenced by good publication and citation records
  • Knowledge of data mining and machine learning research literature. Topics considered particularly relevant include deep learning, topic modelling, recommender systems, natural language processing, information extraction
  • Competency in major programming languages such as Java, C, Python
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines
