Senior Data Center Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Data Center Administrator with 5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VMware, PureStorage, Synology NAS, Veeam, and server health monitoring, with exposure to Azure/AWS cloud services and enterprise data protection standards. The role demands a deep commitment to operational excellence, data security, and proactive systems management.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers across Windows and Linux environments.
- Administer VMware environments, including VM provisioning, resource allocation, and lifecycle management.
- Operate and maintain enterprise storage systems (PureStorage and Synology NAS), ensuring high availability and data integrity.
- Operate and maintain the Veeam Data Backup Solution
Support and monitor cloud-hosted infrastructure (Azure/AWS), including VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, and secure workload operations.
- Monitor and manage data center infrastructure for server, storage, and network access health using monitoring tools with alerts and remediation.
- Ensure secure data management practices for data at rest and in transit, aligned with CIA Triad and DPDA principles.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using CLI or Ansible scripting.
- Administer Microsoft 365 Admin Center and manage Intune deployments for endpoint compliance and mobile device management.
- Implement and manage antivirus solutions for end-user systems, servers, and APIs.
- Utilize ITSM platforms (e.g., Freshservice, ManageEngine) for incident resolution, asset management, and change control.
- Strong knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter, virtual machine provisioning, and vMotion operations.
- Experience managing enterprise storage systems (PureStorage and Synology NAS), including snapshots, backups, and replication.
- Proficiency in server operating systems: Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu).
- Exposure to Azure and AWS environments, including VM management, network security groups, VPN Gateways, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute.
- Operational understanding of firewalls and switches (Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba) for secure network access and segmentation.
- Familiarity with scripting tools such as Ansible or CLI for automation of configurations and updates.
- Monitoring experience using tools to oversee server, storage, and endpoint health with compliance alerting.
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and core network services within a data center context.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and Intune for user, device, and application policy management.
- Strong understanding of data security principles, encryption standards, and secure access policies.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills across IT teams and vendors.
- Strong troubleshooting ability with a structured approach to root cause analysis.
- Self-driven with a proactive approach to system health, compliance, and process improvement.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time-bound infrastructure activities.
- Experience in maintaining compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
