About the role
Are you an efficient and organised professional looking to contribute to the logistics operations of a leading global transport and logistics company? We are seeking a highly motivated Shipping Coordinator - Project Logistics to join our team at Geodis Singapore Pte. Ltd. in the West Region. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in coordinating and executing complex shipping and logistics projects for our clients.
KEY ACTIVITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Facilitate all modes of shipping process from start to finish
- Prepare full set of shipping documents for export shipment ( from Singapore / direct shipment from factories) using SAP
- Co-ordinate with forwarders / customers on shipment arrangement / shipping documentation (including in-coming)
- Handle warranty replacement and complete shipment
- Trouble shoot and resolve complaints or issues related to shipments
- Able to handle high work load on a daily basis
- Follow up on customers on advance payment
- Co-ordinate with Finance Dept and work with customers / partners to resolve payment issues holding up a shipment
- Any other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Good communication skill with internal and external communication
- Strong oral and written communications skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with multi-cultural and corporate environment
- Proactive
- Flexible and adoptive attitudes are a must to meet this fast changing environment
- Meticulous with shipping documentation
- Good Team player
- Able to prioritize workload and multi-task
- Good Communication, Organizational and co-ordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft word, excel and outlook
- Shipping experience is not mandatory as training will be provided
