Our Group specializes in international ocean routes and domestic coastal transportation of dry bulk cargo and has emerged as one of Chinese leading dry bulk shipping companies. Building upon the strategic thinking of "expanding and fortifying coastal transportation while actively venturing into ocean shipping," Guo Hang Ocean Shipping has diligently pursued opportunities in the global ocean shipping market. Our extensive network of shipping routes spans across dozens of countries and regions, including Australia, South America, North America, Southeast Asia, and many more.

We are currently recruiting a passionate, proactive and motivated Chartering Manager to join Guo Hang Ocean Shipping Group Singapore Office.

Key Responsibilities

1、Conduct dry-bulk market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the shipping industry, including vessel supply/demand dynamics, freight rate fluctuation trends, and performance of different vessel types, to maximize the benefits of the vessels.

2、Develop business in the international dry-bulk shipping field by exploring cargo owners, shipowners, leasing companies and relevant chartering projects, and establish and maintain long-term and stable cooperative relationships.

3、Formulate chartering plans for full-ship cargoes combined with market conditions, cargo characteristics, transportation requirements and other factors.

4、Familiar with voyage charter and time charter contracts, responsible for the entire charter negotiation process of TCT and TC, and select appropriate chartering methods according to business needs.

5、Review, negotiate and sign charter contracts with shipowners or cargo owners, strive for the most favorable contract terms to maximize the company's interests.

6、Monitor the progress of vessel voyages, cooperating with the operation team to promptly and properly resolve emergencies and various disputes during the voyage.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Shipping Management, Maritime Law or a related field.
  • Expericence: Minimum 3 years of experience in bulk dry chartering and shipping operations, perferably with experience in chartering in /out in broker companies or operating companies.

  • Professional Knowledge: Familiar with the dry-bulk market (Handysize, Supramax or Panamax vessels). Familiar with charter contracts such as VC, TCT and TC. Familiar with shipping laws and regulations and be able to independently handle common disputes in various charter agreements.

  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency wirh maritime software (e.g., Baltic Exchange tools, Excel, Netpas)
