Job Overview:

We're on the lookout for a passionate Cloud Engineer with deep experience in cloud infrastructure and backup solutions, preferrable on Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud environments, with a strong focus on Azure Ecosystem, disaster recovery strategies, and automation. You will work closely with our team lead, developers and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient operation of cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on Azure.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure CLI to automate infrastructure deployment.
• Configure and manage Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, and other cloud resources.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

• Design and implement backup strategies for critical infrastructure and data using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
• Ensure business continuity by developing robust disaster recovery plans for virtual machines, databases, and other critical resources.
• Regularly test backup and recovery processes, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss during failures or disruptions.
• Implement retention policies, manage backups for compliance with governance and regulatory requirements, and ensure data protection.

Azure Automation and Optimization:

• Automate backup processes and other cloud operations using Azure Automation, PowerShell, or other scripting tools.
• Continuously optimize cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor, log, and implement alerts for cloud infrastructure and backup systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other Azure tools.

Cloud and Data Security:

• Ensure robust data security measures, including encryption and secure access controls, for cloud infrastructure and backup solutions.
• Manage role-based access control (RBAC) and implement security best practices to protect sensitive data in Azure environments.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC2.

Support, Troubleshooting, and Maintenance:

• Provide technical support for cloud infrastructure and backup systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data storage, backup failures, and cloud resource performance.
• Monitor the health and performance of Azure services and ensure the availability of backups for mission-critical systems.

Collaboration and Documentation:

• Fluent in Thai (written and spoken) will be a big plus, with solid English proficiency as an added advantage for global collaboration.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities—because great software is built through collaboration, feedback, and shared growth
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
• Stay current with the latest Azure developments and backup technologies, implementing improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud infrastructure.
• 2+ years of experience in designing and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies using Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, or similar tools.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, and Azure Resource Manager.
• Strong experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting tools for automation.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles, identity and access management (IAM), and network security.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure Data Warehouse solutions such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, or Azure Data Lake is a plus.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and Azure Data Factory for data ingestion and transformation.
• Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Azure Administrator Associate.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
