The Agency
Welcome to Section. We are a digital creative company, and we believe in digital—a lot. We are often engaged by brands that depend on digital channels to speak / listen to their target audiences. The ways in which we create storytelling channels for clients are not restricted by guidelines but rather, empowered by our beliefs and research. We welcome you if you believe in creativity, technology, and scalability. We are after people who are most talented when they are passionate and driven.
The RoleAs the Project Manager, you will work closely alongside our core team and clients to plan and deliver projects on time, while achieving quality and customer satisfaction. You will be expected to lead technical projects from ideation to completion, driving effective performance in our team of creatives and developers. You should also be a personable individual who can manage communications and cooperation between our team and the client's working team.
Job Description and ResponsibilitiesProject management & organizational skills
Manage a AEM migration project from planning to deployment — including migration scoping, requirements gathering, mapping content and assets, coordinating with development and infrastructure teams, and building timelines aligned with Adobe's best practices.
- Act as a strategic advisor at the start of migration projects by identifying potential risks such as legacy content dependencies, third-party integration complexities, or infrastructure gaps based on the client's existing Sitecore/legacy setup.
- Apply the most effective project management methodology (Agile for iterative content migration/testing or Waterfall for phased releases) to fit the migration scope. This includes facilitating key ceremonies like kickoff meetings, sprint planning, migration readiness checks, and stakeholder demos.
- Provide clear direction and migration-specific guidance to project team members — from content authors and developers to QA testers — ensuring they have the necessary information, tools, and access to execute tasks effectively across environments.
- Serve as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring migration progress, risks, and milestones are communicated clearly. This includes regular status updates, escalation management, and alignment with client priorities.
- Support clients through the transition by planning change management activities, running enablement workshops, and providing AEM-specific training for content authors, marketers, and administrators — ensuring smooth adoption of the new platform post-migration.
Problem-solving skills
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, remove impediments and blockers should they arise, to ensure that the project is able to continue and proceed smoothly
- Demonstrate critical thinking when it comes to problem-solving, task prioritisation and managing multiple project timelines
Demonstrate empathy
- Be comfortable working in a cross-functional team across all levels and departments, understanding the various working styles and adapting accordingly
- Manage conflict in a neutral and diplomatic manner, with the primary focus of moving the project forward
- Practise active listening and exercise empathy when communicating with both internal and external teams
- 5+ years of project management experience in digital marketing or web content management systems.
- 3+ years of experience managing projects involving Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) — Sites, Assets, or AEM as a Cloud Service.
- Proven experience in delivering enterprise-scale AEM implementations (multi-site, multi-language, high traffic).
- Familiarity with AEM architecture, content lifecycle, workflows, and integrations (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Target, DAMs).
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and traditional project management methodologies.
- Experience using project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or Asana.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or SAFe certification is a plus.
- Background in digital agencies or consulting environments is preferred.
- Exposure to Adobe Marketing Cloud ecosystem and integrations (Target, Launch, Campaign, Analytics).
- Experience with cloud-based deployments, DevOps processes, and CI/CD pipelines related to AEM.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
