Health Care Aide

The Healthcare Aide assist the Nursing Aide in providing care services to residents/clients and assists them with the activities of daily living as described in the care plan. Duties may include skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, positioning and movement, exercise, feeding and diaper change. The Healthcare Aide is also required to maintain the general cleanliness of the Home.
Operation
Maintain the general cleanliness of the Red Cross Home for the Disabled such as the wards, toilets, offices, etc.
Assist the Nursing Aides to bathe, dressing and grooming the residents/clients
Assist the Nursing Aides to feed the residents/clients
Assist the Nursing Aides to turn and re-position bedridden residents/clients
Assist the residents/clients in activities such as wheeling them around the Home compound, supervise exercise routines and accompany resident/clients on outside recreational activities
Look after the residents' personal needs, e.g. changing them whenever necessary
Accompany residents to clinics/ hospitals when necessary
Assist in transporting clients to and from therapy session
Perform shift duty which includes night shift
Participate in staff development programmes
Assist in recreational and social programmes for the residents
Undertake any other duties as assigned
Customer Management
Respond to queries on the telephone from volunteers and members of public on services provided by the division and redirect if necessary to relevant divisions.
Meet and greet clients and visitors.
Project/Programme Management
Support staff in assigned programme/event.
Assist in programme/event and operational duties
Any Other Duties
Assist to provide orientation for new foreign staff
Perform first aid duty in the event of an emergency or when required
Job Specification
GCE 'O' or 'N' Levels or its equivalent
Healthcare Aide Certificate (from country of origin) or it's equivalent
Basic Nursing skills, such as feeding, turning, changing, bathing, etc.
Able to understand English
Compassionate
Able to follow orders
Physically fit and efficient
Independent as well as good team player
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $2, $2,670.00 per month
