Job Description:
1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Scope Definition: Assist in defining the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and specifications in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
- Scheduling: Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, and milestones using tools like MS Project or Primavera.
- Resource Planning: Coordinate allocation of materials, equipment, and manpower to ensure smooth execution.
2. Technical & Engineering Support
- Design Review: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Problem-Solving: Provide engineering solutions to design, construction, or equipment issues that arise during the project.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Procurement & Cost Management
- Material Sourcing: Assist in selecting and procuring equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Budget Monitoring: Track costs against the project budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Vendor Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve procurement-related issues.
4. On-Site Execution & Supervision
- Site Inspections: Oversee site activities to ensure work is progressing according to plans, specifications, and schedules and ensure a safe working environment
- Contractor Management: Supervise subcontractors and construction teams to maintain productivity and quality.
5. Communication & Reporting
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the technical bridge between project managers, clients, and field teams.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly progress reports, highlighting key accomplishments, risks, and delays.
- Documentation: Maintain project records such as drawings, change orders, and inspection reports for reference and audits.
6. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- System Testing: Oversee testing of equipment, structures, or systems to verify proper functioning and compliance.
- Deficiency Rectification: Identify and address punch-list items before final handover.
- Client Handover: Prepare as-built drawings and technical manuals, and assist in the formal turnover to the client or operation team.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Lessons Learned: Analyze completed projects to identify areas for improvement.
- Innovation: Recommend design or process optimizations for cost savings and efficiency in future projects.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree of Engineering in electrical/electronics, Mechatronics, Automation or Optics. Experience with machine vision projects will be preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge (mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering depending on industry).
- Proficient usage of Excel, JMP and other analysis software; MS-word and PowerPoint software for report creation;
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
