About the role

Avon Industries Pte Ltd, a leading engineering and manufacturing firm, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in the Woodlands North Region. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and managing project plans, timelines and budgets to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians and subcontractors, to execute projects effectively
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues, and implementing appropriate contingency plans
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring projects adhere to engineering standards and specifications
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into effective project plans and solutions
  • Preparing detailed reports and presentations to update stakeholders on project progress and performance
  • Continuously looking for ways to optimise project processes and drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role within the engineering industry
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organise and execute complex projects
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in the use of project management software and engineering design tools
  • Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, regulations and industry best practices
