About the role

Reporting into the Sales team, this full-time Business Development role at Freight Forwarding / Logistics offers an exciting opportunity to drive new business growth for the company's operations based in the Changi Airport East Region. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new customers and contracts to help expand the company's footprint within the Sales and New Business Development industries.

What you'll be doing

  1. Prospecting and qualifying new sales leads through various channels
  2. Arranging and conducting meetings with potential clients to understand their needs and pitch the company's services
  3. Negotiating and closing new business deals and contracts
  4. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  5. Providing feedback and insights to the sales and marketing teams to improve customer targeting and service offerings
  6. Collaborating cross-functionally to support the delivery of new projects and solutions

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in new business development or sales roles, ideally within the freight forwarding or logistics industry
  2. Strong networking and relationship-building skills to identify and convert new leads
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to present solutions and close deals
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales targets
  5. Problem-solving mindset and customer-centric approach
  6. Familiarity with the Changi Airport East Region market and operations is preferred
