The M&E Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of interior fit-out projects. This role ensures that all works are executed in compliance with design specifications, statutory regulations, and project timelines while coordinating closely with consultants, subcontractors, and the project team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review M&E drawings, technical specifications, and design documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on M&E works to resolve technical and site issues.
  • Supervise and monitor M&E installations, testing, and commissioning to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Prepare shop drawings, method statements, and work schedules for M&E activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and project safety requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and verify work progress against project schedule.
  • Liaise with procurement for M&E material submissions and approvals.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions for site-related M&E challenges.
  • Prepare and maintain proper documentation, including reports and records of inspections, testing, and commissioning.
  • Support project manager and site team to deliver fit-out projects on time and within budget.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Familiar with local building codes, regulations, and authority requirements.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting M&E drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
