What you'll be doing?
  • Develop production schedules: Create and manage schedules to meet customer demands efficiently and minimize downtime.
  • Lead a production team: Guide, train, and motivate your team to foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure quality assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to meet strict engineering standards and customer specifications.
  • Optimize processes: Identify and implement improvements using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Manage resources: Oversee the allocation and maintenance of machinery, tools, and materials to ensure optimal production efficiency.
  • Maintain safety compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Control budgets and costs: Manage production budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with engineering, quality, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations and timely product delivery.
  • Prepare reports: Present regular reports on production performance, KPIs, and improvement initiatives.
Who are they looking for?
  • A degree in engineering: A background in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is essential for understanding and implementing advanced manufacturing processes.
  • 5+ years of experience: Proven experience in production management within the Precision Engineering sector is required to lead and optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Lean manufacturing expertise: Experience with implementing lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives is crucial for driving efficiency and reducing waste.
  • Technical proficiency: Strong understanding of CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and advanced manufacturing technologies is necessary to manage and improve production processes.
  • Leadership skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are needed to motivate and guide your team effectively.
  • ERP and planning software: Experience with ERP systems and production planning software is essential for managing production schedules and resources efficiently.
  • Analytical mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to identify and address production challenges.
  • Attention to detail: A commitment to quality and attention to detail is vital for ensuring products meet high standards.
  • Adaptability: The ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands is important for success in this role.
  • Results-driven: A results-driven mindset is necessary to achieve and exceed production goals.
  • Organizational skills: Strong organizational and project management skills are essential for coordinating and overseeing production activities.

  • Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8:15am - 6pm
  • Location: Changi North
  • Salary: $6000 - $7500
