About the role
The Optometrist is responsible for performing eye examinations, giving advice on visual problems and providing primary visual care using specialist diagnostic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of the overall practice and ensure clinic operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Operate specialist equipment for diagnosis and examinations of patient's eyes for signs of injury, diseases, abnormalities, defects in vision and problems with general health of the eyes.
- Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options.
- Answer questions and provide advice to patients regarding vision and optical issues.
- Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions.
- Apply understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma/ Degree in Optometry or equivalent
- Registered with Singapore Optometrists and Opticians Board
- Preferably with at least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds
- Excellent customer service skills
