Job Title: Application Production Support Engineer (Contract )

Employment Type: 12-Month Renewable Contract under NTT, based at client site ( a leading global bank )

Join our team as an Application Production Support Engineer for a leading global bank in Singapore. You will support mission-critical banking applications running on large-scale, high-availability platforms.

This role offers hands-on exposure to scripting, databases, middleware, cloud, and modern monitoring tools , working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.

Note: This role is focused on Application/Production Support . Candidates with only Infrastructure/Desktop/EUC support background will not be considered.

Work Location: MBFC or Changi Business Park, Singapore

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide L2/L3 production support for business-critical applications.
  • Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes .
  • Develop and enhance automation scripts for monitoring, alerting, and reporting.
  • Monitor system health and performance using enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Partner with development, infrastructure, and QA teams to resolve issues.
  • Participate in release management, deployment, and patching cycles .
  • Document incidents, fixes, and SOPs for knowledge base.
  • Participate in on-call/rotational shifts when required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
  • 6 to 9 years of Application/Production Support experience.
  • Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, PowerShell, Perl).
  • Proficiency in SQL for troubleshooting and data validation.
  • Solid knowledge of middleware/app servers (WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss).
  • Hands-on with monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, Nagios).
  • Experience with incident, problem, and change management (ITIL framework).
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 banking environment.

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to DevOps / CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes / container platforms .
  • Prior banking/financial services domain experience.
    ITIL Foundation certification.
