Seeking a competent and proactive Finance VP to support and partner with senior leadership in driving continuous improvements to achieve business success and sustainable profitability.

This is a strategic and senior role based in Singapore, to oversee the financial management and reporting functions and provide hotel operations support in finance to all hotels and properties within the group across the globe.

To support the market GMs and Property Finance leaders in proactive partnership, ensuring strong financial health, operational efficiency, best practices and internal controls in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

KEY FOCUS:

  • Financial Partnership: Provide financial leadership and support to stakeholders on financial and business issues, participate in property financial reviews and attend to critical needs, track market trends.  Build finance capabilities to elevate finance support services to the stakeholders.
  • Financial & Management Accounting & Reporting: Monitor financial performance of hospitality properties and provide strategic recommendations to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.  Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all properties' financial statements and cash positions on a periodical basis to all stakeholders. Managing all financial functions including financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting as well as analysis of financial statements and etc.  Monitor the financial reporting process systems.
  • Internal Business Process & Controls: Implement best practices in financial accounting processes and control procedures. Monitor to anticipate problem areas and negative trends with recommended corrective measures. Strong focus on risk management and internal controls to ensure compliance with property management contractual terms, accounting standards, local regulations, tax regulations and industry standards. Work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop and execute analytical tools and reports for use
  • Pre-opening Leadership: Oversee the financial accounting and reporting workstream in the Pre-opening process. Provide leadership to Pre-opening Property Finance Leader to ensure finance functions, systems, processes and procedures are set up timely and in accordance with internal accounting control policies and procedures.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Accounting Degree/ ACCA / CA / CPA .
  • At least 15 years of Finance experience in the hospitality industry, of which 5 years' experience in comparable position.
  • Good knowledge of key business process of the hospitality industry and hotel operations & systems
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, SUN systems, accounting standards & statutory compliances.
  • Success track record in finance process streamlining and simplification for operational efficiency
  • Strong business acumen with high problem solving and analytical skills
  • People leader, resourceful, influencing, communicative with integrity.
