We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QC/QA Executive to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. This role is key to maintaining our high standards of food safety, quality, and compliance. The successful candidate will oversee both
Quality Control (QC)
and
Quality Assurance (QA)
activities, ensuring that all raw materials, production processes, and finished products meet company, regulatory, and customer requirements. If you have a passion for quality, a strong eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control (QC):

  • Inspect production equipment and processing areas for cleanliness and hygiene before production starts.
  • Perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products — including sensory, visual, and microbiological evaluations.
  • Validate cleaning effectiveness using swab tests and ATP monitoring methods.
  • Coordinate with accredited external laboratories for microbial, chemical, nutritional, and other specialized testing as required.
  • Conduct environmental testing to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Verify supplier documentation and Certificates of Analysis (COA) to confirm material conformity before use.
  • Issue COAs for finished products and maintain accurate QC documentation and records.
  • Manage calibration and maintenance of laboratory and factory equipment; liaise with external vendors for service contracts and pest management.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and adequate stock of consumables and reagents.

Quality Assurance (QA):

  • Serve as an
    HACCP team member
    and
    internal auditor
    to support the company's food safety and quality management systems.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HACCP, GMP, and SQF systems.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Act as a substitute
    SQF Practitioner
    when required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate inspections, product sampling, and release activities.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on food safety, hygiene, and quality awareness.
  • Investigate product non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by management to support quality and food safety objectives.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science and Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in QC/QA within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of
    HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and food safety regulations
    .
  • Experience with microbiological testing, product inspection, and equipment calibration is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, responsibility, and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Proficient in quality documentation, audit processes, and laboratory instrument handling.
