About the Role
As a Senior Executive, Trademark, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's trademark portfolio. This includes ensuring timely renewals, maintaining accurate records and conducting availability searches. You will serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external legal partners to safeguard the company's intellectual property rights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Trademark Portfolio Management
Administer and maintain the company's global trademark portfolio, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and securely stored. Coordinate with internal departments and external legal counsel on trademark filings, renewals, oppositions, and other related matters.
2. Trademark Renewal Management
Monitor and manage trademark renewal schedules to ensure timely submissions and prevent lapses in protection. Proactively prepare and submit renewal applications in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
3. Trademark Search & Risk Mitigation
Conduct comprehensive online trademark availability searches to support new brand initiatives and mitigate potential legal risks. Provide insights and recommendations based on search results to guide business decisions.
4. Cost Tracking & Budget Support
Maintain a centralized trademark cost database, including quotations from law firms and historical expenditure summaries. Support budgeting and cost analysis efforts by providing timely and accurate cost data upon request.
5. Documentation & Database Management
Ensure all trademark-related documents are systematically filed and easily retrievable, both digitally and physically. Uphold confidentiality and integrity of trademark records through robust documentation practices.
Qualifications & Experience- Diploma holder in a relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of working experience preferred
- Experience in legal or trademark administration is an advantage (training provided)
