**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the end-to-end process of projects for the academic project teams, from project scoping and planning through vendor selection, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Work closely with academic staff (and any industry partner) to understand their project concepts and learning objectives to determine appropriate AI solutions and technologies.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify suitable vendors and solutions that meet project needs.
- Support the vendor evaluation and selection process.
- Serve as the project manager and key point of contact for each team's AI implementation.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure the project stay on track and can meet the milestones adhering to the stipulated timeline.
- Support testing and deployment of the solutions.
- Provide training and support to faculty adopting the new AI teaching tools and technologies.
- Support collection of data and feedback to measure the learning impact of the AI implementations.
- Present regular status updates to STLA leadership on project progress.
**Job Requirements**
- Qualification or significant work experience in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering)
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and teams in collaborative environments, especially involving academia, industry, vendors, and students.
- Preferred: More than 3 years of working experience in project management that involves developing or deploying education technology.
- Able to stay up-to-date on related emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems is a plus.
- Knowledge of programming skills in languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar, as well as cloud computing and AI/ML deployment (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) would be advantageous.
- Strong communication abilities, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences (e.g. explain technical AI concepts to non-technical users).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work individually or in a team, and with other divisions, including with external parties.
- This is a contract role ending in March 2026.
