Solution Architect, AI Initiatives

[What the role is]

MAS is seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to design and implement solutions that strengthen AI capabilities across Singapore's financial sector. Working within our Financial Infrastructure and Artificial Intelligence Office, you will be responsible to develop technical solutions that advance AI adoption in Singapore's financial industry.

[What you will be working on]

• Design enterprise-grade solutions for public-facing applications with comprehensive security frameworks supporting AI initiatives in financial services

• Lead end-to-end project delivery from solution design through production deployment within regulated financial environments

• Implement robust security architectures incorporating CDN, WAF, and advanced security technologies for financial institutions

• Lead development of technical solutions supporting AI and machine learning use cases for banks, insurers, and FinTechs

• Design container orchestration platforms and CI/CD pipeline architectures for mission-critical financial applications

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions whilst ensuring regulatory compliance

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and infrastructure teams

• Drive innovation initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies for adoption across Singapore's financial ecosystem

• Manage project delivery, timelines, and resources to ensure successful implementation that drives meaningful impact for Singapore's financial sector

[What we are looking for]

• 8-10 years of solution architecture and cloud infrastructure design experience, preferably in financial services or regulated industries

• Proven track record of successfully bringing complex infrastructure projects live into production environments for financial institutions

• Expert-level experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform for financial sector applications

• Proven track record of designing and implementing secure, scalable public-facing systems for financial services

• Strong expertise in implementing security frameworks including CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, and other security technologies suitable for regulated environments

• Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms in enterprise environments

• Experience designing and implementing automated deployment pipelines for financial applications

• Deep understanding of network design, load balancing, and traffic management for high-availability financial systems

• Experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL database solutions at scale for financial data processing

• Experience implementing comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for mission-critical financial infrastructure

• Experience architecting infrastructure solutions that support AI/ML workloads within financial contexts

• Knowledge of GPU computing, model serving platforms, and ML pipeline architectures

• Understanding of vector databases and AI-specific infrastructure requirements for financial applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field

• Previous experience in financial technology, banking, insurance, or regulated industries

• Experience designing solutions across multiple cloud providers for enterprise financial institutions

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (SOC 2, PCI DSS, MAS regulations, etc.)

• Experience in cloud cost management and optimisation strategies for large-scale financial operations

• Experience designing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery solutions for financial services

• Experience designing and implementing API gateways and microservices architectures for financial applications

• Background in AI implementation projects or digital transformation initiatives within financial institutions

• Experience in payments, capital markets, insurance or banking sectors

• Experience working in multicultural, international business environments
