GENERAL SUMMARY:

Supports the end-to-end process of retail store design, construction, and layout, coordinating with various teams to manage budgets, timelines, and site-specific requirements for new stores or renovations.  Contribute to ensuring that the physical retail environments consistently uphold brand standards and deliver a high-quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities include assisting with budget tracking, coordinating with architects and contractors, reviewing drawings, managing documentation, and ensuring all store projects align with brand standards, Company's policy on retail space planning and allocation, l and compliance with all by-law for project completion and certification.  The role requires strong organizational, communication, and project management skills to help deliver high-quality, functional, and on-brand retail environments.

With any on-going projects, this job may involve night work/supervision from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Skills and Qualifications:

1.  Experience and education

·       Previous experience in a retail construction, project management, or administrative support role is beneficial.

·       A bachelor's or diploma in a related field such as architecture or interior design, is preferred.

·       Knowledge of space planning in a retail environment, store layouts, and design principles

·       Familiarity with industry trends, construction technologies, and safety regulations.

2.  Technical skills

·       Strong understanding of CAD drawings and design principles.

·       Experience with project management software (Microsoft Project) or design programs is a plus.  Excellent project management skills with an eye for detail.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.

·       Retail analytics: A solid understanding of key retail performance metrics and inventory models can be helpful.

3.  General skills

·       Excellent time management and organizational skills are crucial for managing multiple projects and administrative tasks.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for coordinating with both internal teams and external vendors.

·       Ability to find solutions to issues that arise during projects

·       Meticulousness is needed to maintain accurate documentation and track project details.

·       The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and take on new tasks as needed is important.

·       Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
