Innovation Project Lead

Duration: 3 Months (Renewable)

Working Hours: Monday - Friday @ 9AM-6PM

Working Location: Kallang

This role involves leading and executing innovation projects focused on sustainable development, circular economy, and low-carbon solutions. The successful candidate will drive projects from ideation up to implementation phases, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals and fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Scoping

  • Identify innovation opportunities aligned with company strategy and market trends.
  • Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and key deliverables.
  • Develop business cases and secure stakeholder buy-in.

Project Leadership & Management

  • Lead innovation projects
  • Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Report progress, insights, and results to leadership

Project Execution

  • Conduct market studies, customer interviews, and partner identification
  • Facilitate design thinking workshops and technical feasibility assessments
  • Analyze regulatory contexts (e.g., carbon finance, waste management)
  • Oversee lab testing and MVP development

  • Perform financial analysis and develop business plans

  • Ensure delivery of key milestones confirming:

  • Customer desirability

  • Technical feasibility
  • Market accessibility

Innovation Phase Transition

  • Define scope, objectives, and deliverables for next-phase projects
  • Prepare and submit documentation for phase transition approval

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in innovation project management
  • Development and validation of HVAC solutions
  • Proof of concept for circular economy loops in the railway sector
  • Good engineering systems understanding
  • Familiarity with innovation frameworks (e.g., design thinking, lean startup)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Experience in sustainability or railway projects is a plus
