Position: Proposal Engineer

Job Description:

  • Review tender documents and customer requirements to develop suitable process designs.
  • Source quotations from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors in line with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with vendors to explore new technologies and ensure effective technical application in customer solutions.
  • Communicate with customers to clarify technical details and provide necessary support.
  • Prepare cost-effective proposals and accurate cost estimations.
  • Develop commercial and technical bid documents, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
  • Generate or coordinate the preparation of P&ID and general arrangement drawings.
  • Work closely with business development and engineering teams to refine process designs and improve bid competitiveness.
  • Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams for technical support and clarifications.
  • Follow up on submitted proposals and identify new business opportunities.
  • Engage in negotiations with customers and vendors when required.
  • Upon project award, review purchase orders and verify compliance with agreed terms and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
  • Hands-on knowledge or experience in water and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Familiarity with pumps, motors, valves, piping systems, and other mechanical or electrical components—experience in the oil and gas sector is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in proposal or process engineering.
