Job Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement (CIP) initiatives in mechanical systems, components, and processes to enhance product performance and manufacturability.
- Lead reverse engineering activities for components and assemblies to support R&D, product development, and process optimization.
- Support mechanical product engineering by developing, validating, and optimizing designs based on measurement, testing, and reverse engineering insights.
- Conduct component and system-level testing to verify functionality, performance, and design improvements.
- Design, fabricate, and optimize jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support R&D, testing, and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate closely with design, process, and R&D teams to provide engineering input on mechanical design, manufacturability, and product performance.
- Document engineering activities, testing results, and improvement recommendations aligned with CIP goals.
- Assist with ad-hoc assignments as assigned by direct superior.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Skilled in 3D/2D CAD software (UG, CATIA, SolidWorks) and capable of independently building mechanical component models.
- Min. 3 yrs' exp in CIP, reverse engineering & product improvement required. Background in FGS [Fab Global Services] to innovate high-precision mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical testing, jigs, fixtures, and tooling design.
- Familiarity with machining processes, manufacturing workflows, and high-precision components.
- Experience in reverse engineering, mechanical product development, and R&D in semiconductor or high-precision industries is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, problem-solving, and product optimization.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills with a practical mindset.
- Proactive, resilient, and able to work collaboratively across R&D, engineering, and process teams.
- Ability to identify mechanical or process gaps and propose continuous improvement solutions.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, tooling, and product development.
- Ability to travel is a Must.
- Willing to work on-site at Changi North Crescent.
