Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-audit design reviews to ensure compliance with international safety standards (IEC, UL, SEMI, CE, NFPA, ISO).
  • Collaborate with design engineers to integrate safety requirements early in the product lifecycle.
  • Identify safety risks and recommend design modifications to mitigate hazards.
  • Stay updated on global safety regulations and translate them into design/testing requirements.
  • Coordinate with third-party certification bodies (TÜV, UL, CSA) and manage compliance audits.
  • Support testing and validation of safety-critical components, including electrical, mechanical, and fault condition assessments.
  • Perform risk assessments (FMEA, Hazard Analysis) and maintain safety documentation, reports, and manuals.
  • Work cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Legal teams to embed safety into product development.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or other related fields are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates with product safety experience in the backend semiconductor industry, particularly with high-precision semiconductor equipment, are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in achieving compliance certifications (e.g., CE, UL, IEC 60204, SEMI S2/S8) is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with international safety standards such as CE, IEC 60204, NFPA 79 is a bonus.
