About the role

We are looking for a skilled Building Technician to join our team at '. This full-time role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our commercial and residential properties.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing scheduled and emergency maintenance on building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems
  • Diagnosing and repairing issues with building equipment and infrastructure
  • Coordinating with external contractors and vendors for larger repair or replacement projects
  • Implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimise disruptions and extend the lifespan of building components
  • Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and supplies
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

  • Formal training or qualifications in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related technical field
  • At least 3 years of experience as a building technician, facilities maintenance technician, or in a similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools
