  • Working hours: 5 days per week with rotating morning and night shifts

Our Client

The company is a Maritime-centric Equipment and Service Provider based in Singapore, providing marine electronics and communications equipment/ services and integration services for the commercial marine and offshore industries in Singapore, Asia and Europe regions.

They are seeking a Commissioning Technician to manage the design and installation of the marine electronics and communications equipment/services onboard shipping vessels, not limited to locally, offshore and overseas. You will report directly to Commissioning Manager and the Energy Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support with implementation/ assembly/ design/ testing with system or/ and project Engineers
  • Carry out installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, but not limited to Navigation, IT, Scada, Communication system and equipment in workshop assembly and onsite
  • Assist and/ or carry out Factory Acceptance Test & Site Acceptance Test with client
  • Contribute necessary improvements and offer advice about operational procedures
  • Work with the team to investigate problems and diagnose and repair faults, if any, in order for the equipment to work to its specifications
  • Help out in the timely and accurate reports, documentation, timesheets, service reports as per company/ client format for submission and reporting
  • Work with the Service Department to resolve enquiries, if required
  • Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Requirements

  • Able to work under tight schedule and minimum supervision
  • Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends and public holidays (OT Payable after probation period)
  • Candidates with experience in Telecommunication system in marine, shipyard, offshore is preferred. Job Title and Grade will commensurate with experience
  • Candidates without experience are also welcome, as there will be onboard mentorship and On-Job-Trainings (OJT) provided
