What the role is

You develop MINDEF/SAF's Strategic Communications (SC) policy, strategies, and plans to safeguard public commitment to defence, build trust, and maintain support for National Service (NS).

What you will be working on

  • Develop key messages for various communication channels
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Shape communication messages
  • Analyse public sentiments and emerging social trends
  • Make recommendations aligning policy objectives with public sentiments
    Challenge(s)
  • Thinking critically and innovatively in a complex communication landscape
  • Balancing MINDEF/SAF's policy objectives with public perceptions

What we are looking for

  • Education in Mass Communication or Social Sciences related fields
  • Prior experience in policy or communications related role is advantageous
  • Strong interest in communications
  • Keen appreciation of changing global and local information environments
  • Understanding of emerging social trends and public sentiments
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
