Overview
What the role is: You develop MINDEF/SAF's Strategic Communications (SC) policy, strategies, and plans to safeguard public commitment to defence, build trust, and maintain support for National Service (NS).
Responsibilities
Develop key messages for various communication channels
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Shape communication messages
Analyse public sentiments and emerging social trends
Make recommendations aligning policy objectives with public sentiments
Think critically and innovatively in a complex communication landscape
Balance MINDEF/SAF's policy objectives with public perceptions
Qualifications
Education in Mass Communication or Social Sciences related fields
Prior experience in policy or communications related role is advantageous
Strong interest in communications
Keen appreciation of changing global and local information environments
Understanding of emerging social trends and public sentiments
Analytical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal abilities
Excellent presentation skills
Good command of spoken and written English
