Position: Interpreter (Mandarin or Cantonese)

Working Arrangement: Remote

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Singapore, Remote

Working Arrangement: 5 days a week, (Monday to Friday)

Working Hours (MY time): Can start between 7PM - 11PM, ends between 4AM - 8AM

About the Role

We are seeking professional interpreters to provide real-time language support via phone or video calls, enabling effective communication between English speakers and individuals with language barriers across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret conversations consecutively and accurately between English and the required language.
  • Handle telephone or video calls on demand, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
  • Use appropriate industry terminology and understand relevant procedures.
  • Process information quickly, recognizing cultural nuances and maintaining neutrality.
  • Support diverse subject areas including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel, Hospitality, Emergency Services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.

Qualifications

  • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills with high accuracy.
  • Strong ability to stay objective, neutral, and professional during conversations.
  • Proven ability to follow client instructions and establish credibility.
  • Skilled at explaining cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication when required.
  • B2 CEFR English level with bilingual fluency in the required language(s).
  • Able to work permanently from home.
