ABOUT THE COMPANY

CLINUVEL a global specialty pharmaceutical group focused on developing and commercialising

treatments for patients with genetic, metabolic, systemic, and life-threatening, acute disorders, as well as

healthcare solutions for the general population. We are seeking new talent to join our Research,

Development & Innovation Centre in Singapore, VALLAURIX, to lead the development of the next

generation of CLINUVEL's product pipeline.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

To oversee technical operations of a new R&D manufacturing process and equipment, working within the

R&D team.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE

  • Oversee R&D manufacturing operations from a technical perspective
  • Identification and documentation of critical process parameters
  • Dispensing raw materials and operating specialised machinery to manufacture pharmaceutical
  • products
  • Reproducible manufacturing method capable of method transfer to new facility
  • Support production method validation development, reporting to accepted regulatory standards
  • Prepare SOPs for use by production operators
  • Train production operators on equipment and SOPs
  • Process safety and risk assessment appropriately documented

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ROLE

  • Demonstrated experience in a regulated manufacturing industry, ideally pharmaceutical/biotech
  • Master/PhD in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • 3-5 years of experience in formulation development especially injectable process development
  • Strong working knowledge of GMP, sterile manufacturing, process development and validation
  • Ability to adapt working style according to the needs of the projects, both as an individual contributor and as part of a small team
  • Proven work alongside researchers, scientists and/or chemists to deliver on long-term projects
  • Technical writing skills, especially in standard operating procedures
  • Strong knowledge in pharmaceutical quality systems
  • Outstanding work ethic and attitude
  • Great communication skills
  • An understanding of the demands of a multinational corporation with matrix reporting

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS FOR ROLE

  • Experience in pharmaceutical formulation development and technology transfer
  • Training and experience in product quality management
  • Experience in injectable formulation development is highly desirable
