Job Summary:

Seeking a Formulation Chemist to develop and optimize cleaning and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) chemical products. This role involves lab work, testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective, safe, and compliant products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and improve cleaning and MRO chemical formulations.

  • Conduct lab and pilot-scale experiments; scale up for production.

  • Choose suitable raw materials based on cost, performance, and compliance.

  • Perform tests for stability, performance, safety, and compatibility.

  • Work closely with QC, Regulatory, Production, Sales, and Marketing teams.

  • Prepare and track samples for customer trials; follow up on results.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and chemical regulations (e.g., GHS, REACH, OSHA) across Asia.

  • Keep detailed records of formulations, tests, and procedures.

  • Help troubleshoot product issues and develop custom blends.

  • Investigate product failures from production or customer complaints.

  • Maintain lab safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

  • At least 2 years' experience in formulation for cleaning/hygiene and MRO industries.

  • Strong understanding of formulation chemistry and raw materials.

  • Experience with eco-friendly product development.

  • Detail-oriented, good problem-solver, team player with strong communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning and maintenance applications.

  • Familiarity with green/sustainable chemistry practices.
