Singapore ACEN RENEWABLES INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. Full time $100,000 - $150,000 per year

The incumbent will provide legal support and strategic legal leadership in ACEN's subsidiaries in Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and other emerging markets (" Group "). The incumbent will also be responsible for assisting with the company's secretarial and business integrity functions for the company and its subsidiaries.

The incumbent ensures organizational legal issues are addressed promptly and accurately, with deep knowledge of relevant and current laws and regulations across the relevant jurisdictions, including but not limited to: Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The incumbent provides timely, accurate, and practical legal advice on governance, regulatory compliance, and investment structuring to support sustainable, well-governed growth across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal guidance on investments and special projects, including, structuring, and regulatory strategy aligned with ACEN's strategic objectives and risk appetite.
  • Supporting the management of legal and regulatory compliance risks across ACEN's markets by identifying potential exposures, management of external counsel (where relevant), and recommending risk-mitigation measures.
  • Developing and maintaining compliance and risk registers, ensuring they are up-to-date and communicated to relevant users.
    Supporting the organization's adherence to applicable laws and regulations in the Group, or in markets where ACEN operates or plans to expand, through proactive monitoring, management and coordination with local counsel, and internal awareness initiatives. Coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate corporate filings with regulators and authorities in the relevant juristictions. Attending and representing the organization, as delegated, in meetings with government agencies and regulatory bodies across ACEN's markets when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (or equivalent) or a Master's Degree in Law or equivalent.
  • Must have had at least ten to twelve years experience in a legal role in a business environment or law firm.
  • Qualified in the Philippines
  • Working experience in Indonesia is a plus
  • Working experience with distribution generation in the region is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience of working in renewable energy a plus
